Avion Solutions Inc., an employee-owned company, seeks candidates for an Air and Missile Defense (AMD) Force Operations Software Product Owner (PO) to support PEO MS, Integrated Fires Mission Command (IFMC) PO. This position is based in Huntsville, AL.

Job Responsibilities/Duties:

• Work as a member of the Army Program Executive Office Missiles and Space (PEO MS) Integrated Fires Mission Command (IFMC) Project Office (PO).
• Be responsible for prioritizing and validating the development software for a Force Operations (FO) Software (SW) development team.
• Review and understand Systems Engineering concepts, designs, and algorithms, guiding the development team.
• Support the team in developing acceptance criteria for software updates and verify their implementation.
• Collaborate with Program Management to set priorities for capabilities and defects for each product increment and sprint.
• Conduct technical briefings, demonstrations, and advisement to leadership.
• Report on status, recommend courses of action, and assess competing capabilities, performance risks, and impacts on the IFMC mission.

Required Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree (or advanced) from an accredited college (ABET preferred) in engineering, the sciences, or mathematics.
• Minimum of 7 years of combined Government/DoD experience in performing the essential duties listed.
• Good understanding of defense design and large system capabilities, including resource laydown plans, orders from higher echelon units (HEUs), radar initialization parameters, defense plan evaluation, and user interfaces.
• Ability to oversee an FO SW development team and verify their work based on agreed-upon acceptance criteria, including attending code reviews.
• Fluent in the Microsoft Office toolset.
• Must be a US Citizen and have/able to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Security Clearance.
• Must be able to travel up to 25% of the time. US travel only.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Knowledge of IBCS, PATRIOT, MEADS, THAAD, C2BMC, or AEGIS.
• Prior experience as a Product Owner of a SW development SCRUM team is a plus.
